in some site i work on, some one was able to add line to the last line of every index.php, and language/.../main.php file on the site...
the line is:

[size=18][b]CODE REMOVED - DON"T P ...

well not totally a charm, paging shows only 25 members,
it says below: Go to page Page 1 of 0 ...

well i got the same problem, empty member list after upgrading to 9.2.1, i tried many themes, even default, still empty .... now am using Dragonflied_PinkIce theme, any one got any idea??

go to modules/news/admin/ there edit 'index.inc' file and look at line '467' notice 'LIMIT 0,20', change 20 to what you want..

There is a block called "Search", just add it..
