From a strict point of view even home needs to have a cannonical tag but i guess the fact that the home page can change makes this a bit difficult to implement, so it seems perfct to me  |

| i see no reason why not but i'm far from being an expert. it just makes that you need to loggin again after deleting the content. And remember to restart your browser. |

I encountered this also several times over the years.
Try deleting the cookies if you havent't it done by deleting temporary files AND close / restart IE to be sure the current session is reseted. ... |
