FIXED Error: The connection to the database server failed

Hi,

I searched but cannot find...

I know this problem is all over the place, but I just couldn't find it. I've been away from my site, and the software for a long time for health issues you don't want to hear about... I can't remember how to troubleshoot this at all. Can someone please point me in the right direction? No one has changed any settings.

I believe the specs on the server below are correct. I have a help ticket in to the provider, pair.com, to see if they upgraded something that broke it.

I think if I get pointed in the right direction, it will come back to me, but I suffer some memory loss. I know you guys and gals are great, so I'm counting on you!

Bla! Where is it in the software that I have to add the new password? I think it's in a . file? .config or something? Please advise. Meanwhile, I'll go reset the password to the database.

I think you should update your password within cPanel, Plesk or whatever your server uses to admin your account?
Then off course make sure /includes/config.php uses the same pwd.
