Very glad to see this as a zip'd update (vs CVS), but ...
Hate to sound negative towards a free offering, but could you either go back to including a tar version as well, or upgrade the version of IZArc that you are using to 4.0 or later please?
Otherwise the release is virtually unusable under Linux.
I'm presuming it's IZArc that you are using. Google gives
this.
Specifically quoting from that release note:
- Fixed: When create ZIP archives IZArc uses DOS path separator ("\") instead of Unix one ("/")
The versions of IZArc prior to 4.0 use the DOS backward slash rather than the universal forward slash. So under Linux or Unix the full path is seen as the filename. E.g. 'rss\nucal.php" is seen as a filename of "rss\nucal" with extension of "php".
So all 1535 files get dumped into one folder for you to methodically (and erroneously no doubt) sort out and correct
There's nothing Ubuntu Archiver can do to create the folders - it can't even see them.
The workaround is to boot to Windows, unzip, rezip then move back to Linux to install ...
TIA!
