Post subject: Is upload approval reqd? |

Is it required that an admin approve all pictures uploads, or is there a setting that will allow users to upload to their own albums?

I had played with this area and believe I misinterpreted the meaning on th pub upl approval and priv upload approval. I had set these to yes thinking that it meant Yes they can upload. I now switched it to No and receive the following error message when I try an upload:
No picture was upload:
If you have really selected a picture to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...
File: /homepages/33/d106052337/htdocs/CPG-Nuke/modules/coppermine/db_input.php - Line: 245
I switched it back to Yes and still receive the same ( above ) message.

what type of file are you trying to upload? did you chmod the appropriate folder to 777 as the instructions dicatate?

I am uploading a jpg. I will verify the chmod settings, but I have not had trouble with uploads until I starting changing the approval settings.

As long as I was uploading pictures or approving as admin I was all right, but as soon as I started to try and upload pictures as individual I had to chmod 777 the album directories.
