I am having this issue too. ALl email functions are working except for the ecard and im on a unix box. Same error message at line 145.

This is what I have set-up in my admin for MAIN SETTINGS:

Options for email from Contact Module and Newsletter
Allow html email Yes
Use SMTP for email instead of php YES
Address of smtp host(mail.danielterritory.com)
Server requires SMTP authorization No
SMTP User Name XXXXXXX
SMTP User Password XXXXXXXX

If i turn off smtp email then the contact page and user registration system wont work because the mail function fails so i have to use the smtp on.

I've split your post from the topic you were in because yours doesn't belong in what is basically a IIS server issue - server specs plus a web address might also help.

Also yours may be resolved by setting "Server requires SMTP authorization Yes"
