Post subject: How to make an Admin from non-admin

How do I make an existing user into an admin? It looks like I could just type in their name, but then I need a password and I don't want to ask for their password.

Also, is there any way to create groups to put users in, then give specific groups the rights?

I know that... but it doesn't answer my question the way I asked it.

Example: I have user "BOB", and he's not an admin. If I enter "BOB" in the nickname box do I have to enter an e-mail address and a password? Why should I have to? Does it try to create a new user named bob or is it smart enough to know that "BOB" already exists?

Thanks, but it doesn't seem to work that way for me. Sad I have a table nuke_admins that enters an entirely different account than one that currently exists in the nuke_users table. Is this normal? If i just enter "BOB" in the username field, it returns with

Code::
You must complete all compulsory fields

Thanks. It is, in fact, a completely seperate account. I know DJMaze said that one of their priorities after 9.0 will be a better user and group management system. Hopefully this will be part of that effort! Very Happy

Admin users are seperate to use accounts, i'm sure there's a very good reason a normal user account is'nt intergrated into the admin side of things.

I personally like the way the admin and user account are seperate.
