Post subject: Re: Security Code - dont show ?

A search will show a number of topics on this, the best of which is probably,
cpgnuke.com/Forums/vie...+code.html

There is also a graphics checker which may help.
cpgnuke.com/GFXChecker.html

I've merged your topic, so start with the first post in this topic.

Post subject: Re: Login Security Code Blank

Hey All,
I want to set up the security code on log in but I just do not understand whats going on here. I have read the thread and did the test from HERE.

I get this statment "The PNG image is correct" along with this image

So what do I do From here?

I'm thinking that there is an on/off setting somewhere or that I did to edit some code to get it to show. I think the feature is a good idea and somehow adds a little bit of "security" it the site if not in fact in felling for the user.

Post subject: Re: Login Security Code Blank

Hi

I recently installed dragonfly 9.0.2.0 from scratch and have run into a security code problem. I'm a complete beginner with most of this stuff so go easy on me. The problem only started in the past day or two with no problems initially. Now when I go to admin login I get just "security code" tag instead of an actual image.

When checking the graphic test at, www.ieig.net/ieig/inde...x&test

I get,
Fatal error: imagecreatefrompng(): gd-png: fatal libpng error: Incompatible libpng version in application and library in /home/ieig3881/public_html/ieig/includes/gfxchk.php on line 46

I'm guessing host may have done something, but I wasn't paying that much attention. Any help is appreciated.

Cheers.

Go to Admin -> System Info
The first page says something like:
Code::
GD Version	bundled (2.0.28 compatible)

Then if you click on PHP Modules
You se what is supported by GD

Ok my website is listed in my account. Basically In dragongfly 9.0.3.0 the security code is not showing up.
I did the test and the image is correct 123test.png image. When I enable security code in admin section no security code shows up to type in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I'm unable to login to admin to perform the check and I can't seem to find the entries in the custom_config section for disabling security code. However, I have tried out one or two things and got a new error message. I removed the PNG file and replaced it with a jpg of the same image. My new error is an image with the text "The image blah cannot be displayed because it contains errors" Is there something with the format of the jpg that could be causing this or will it only work with png?

Post subject: Re: Login Security Code Blank

Hi again,

I got the security code running by converting the image for the security code to jpg and then modifying the commenting on these lines in gfxchk.php

//Header('Content-type: image/png');
Header('Content-type: image/jpeg');
//ImagePNG($image);
ImageJPEG($image, '', 75);
ImageDestroy($image);
exit;

The security code is a little hard to read but it works which is the main thing. The info on GD is

GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
XBM Support enabled

Cheers
