Post subject: News by user groups

I'd like to see a way to allow only certain user groups to see News messages like there is for the message topics. It would be an easy feature to add, and would allow several sub-groups at a site to be shown only the news they'd be interested in.
Cool

This is on my todo list, along with some other features to allow better support for groups or sub-communities.

There are some issues with this though, what would you have as the home page? The news index for that group? What would happen for someone that was a member of more than one group. For example, if I had an auto site with a group for car owners and one for motorcyclists, and then I was a member of both groups having a car and a bike, what should I see when I login?

Post subject: Topics: Set Topics to be visible only to Group Members

Hi all,
I was thinking, that a powerful feature to add would be simply this:

Topics: Set Topics to be visible only to Group Members

This would allow you to have the freedom to submit news on your site, mark it as a particular Topic, and for this new to be only available to those who want it. eg: I have family members that would want to post family news, and friend who would want to submit news articles about tech releated stuff. There will be some people from the family group who will not be interested in seeing the tech stuff and some people from the tech group who are not interested in seeing the family stuff.

Just a thought!

Cheers,
Kapitol
