Today i see e107 cms and i see how beautifull admin section is there. So it would be great if in the future admin section will change and will be something like in e017. More formal perfect and that will exist some stlye for admin section!
Ok this is my idea and i hope you all know what i mention!

Its not that it's better, it's that it LOOKS better.
I agree, the more options given the user the more intimidating and cluttered it seems, however it does look better.
I never did like those huge ugly icons for the graphical display

We need small icon for DF, but I much prefer the 'basic' look of DF rather than e107. Currently I think that e107 looks better, but DF is better.

yes i mean that it's LOOKS better like Kuragari said. The icons in DF are huge so i think that must be something like here! Graphicaly is admin section in e107 much better to look.
run0 i get it here at themexp
www.themexp.org/
If you need it i can send it to you!

to be honest, I would prefer a admin section like with e107 cms ...
I just can´t stand the appearing and disappearing left menu-blocks in DF which keep ruining every design
OK, if it would only be for the admin section, I wouldn´t care, but our users keep complaining about module navigation, too, because they are accustomed to the (afaik easier) PUKE-style navigation

looks may not be everything, but it doesn't hurt to be pretty.
i had an idea to do with admin but it compliments this idea rather than a separate issue.
after using dragonfly for a few months now, i have really come to loathe trolling through the menu looking for some admin item or other, i would love to see an admin link at say the top right corner of each page, which of course only displays when your logged in as admin, the small graphic normally used for admins perhaps, that takes you to the admin page for the module or block, or news item, whatever your on at the time
i know some themes have an extra button that appears in the top menu, but i think that just takes you to the main menu
having a specific icon link on each individual page would save a lot of time and clicks, and searching for the admin icon you want, and would reduce the need to go to the main admin page just to make a quick mod or setting change.
PS i love the look of that XP theme as well senzacionale, very classy

i already have that.
Its a theme thing not a cms thing.
I have a "staff login" graphic when they're not logged in as admin, and a "staff page" graphic that displays instead if they are logged in as an admin, and it is simply a adminlink(), which will take them to the admin section of the currently opened module.
However sometimes its annoying when im at my homepage and it goes straight to news admin instead of normal admin, but there is always the admin block with all of the little icons available, its very handy too.
Oh and i just checked out that opensourcecms demo, and man i don't see the big deal.
THE ONLY difference is the theme, and the icons, which are all generic. I'd rather keep with unique icons thankyouverymuch.
So i think talking about e107 is pretty much pointless. The only shortcomming of df in general is that all of the default themes are pretty bad. Dragonfly cms doesn't have all that much in the way of looking cool. But that might change one day...
Oh yeah, and about the edit news, i modded the news index.php file (i think it was) for someone else on these forums which broke up the variables for those links placed at the bottom so that they could position them separatley. However i also added an edit button that gets displayed if current user is a admin with news privs. Do a forum search if you want it.
