#1: Multimedia files in Coppemine Author: andydev, Posted: Wed Sep 08, 2004 12:51 am ---- Hey all,
I saw that coppermine supports avi files.
Does anyone how can I configure it so it would work? does the coppermine that comes in CPG 8.2b supports this?

#7: Re: Multimedia files in Coppemine Author: 405_, Location: Costa RicaPosted: Fri Jan 07, 2005 10:16 pm ---- ouch! thats a good reason.
And this will change in a near future?
#8: Re: Multimedia files in Coppemine Author: DJ Maze, Location: http://tinyurl.com/5z8dmvPosted: Sat Jan 08, 2005 12:17 am ---- No and it will never be as 1.3.2 for several reasons.
However you could expect more features on this before the end of this year unless more people want to help coding.

Could you list the reasons or barriers to having the coppermine in cpgnuke handle multimedia? Why will cpgnuke not move to a different coppermine base?

#11: Re: Multimedia files in Coppemine Author: sharkey, Posted: Tue Jan 25, 2005 8:48 am ---- I like the sound of cpgNG, I hate to speculate but hope you guys are creating a brand new media album from scratch.
#12: Re: Multimedia files in Coppemine Author: aaaaaaaaaa, Posted: Fri Feb 25, 2005 8:12 pm ---- You've got to be kidding me that there is no way to enable Video file uploads in CPG 1.3.0a for CMS. I cannot upgrade to the newest or future CPGNUKE because my webhost will not upgrade their MySQL installation and I will have to fight them for control of the domain name if I switch servers. So, there is NO way to hack ANYTHING into 1.3.0a to allow video files to be placed into the forum? Can I upload them with picture extensions (gif/jpg/etc.), batch upload them, relabel them when they are added to gallery, and then go into my MySQL tables and change the association to point to the video file instead? Are there any hacks/mods out there at all?
