Post subject: Podcast Module

Is there any one working on a podcast directory and creator

Having a admin side of things where instead of messin about with rss code just simply place title, description, picture, link to mp3 and submit it to a directory.

this would be placed into the rss code very much like submitting a weblink

with podcasting bringing in large volumes visitors i am suprised this has not been done and dusted....

cheers from Tim www.radiogetswild.com

Hi, I've developed a podcasting module for drupal!

First of all, I am new to drupal development. I was on a long trip to South East Asia then I came back and Drupal was hot and happening in cyberspace. My interests are music and web; so I started looking for the latest and hottest regarding music and internet.

Of course I could not miss the podcast hype, and soon I started checking drupalart.org. A very nice and welcome initiative for all those diy musicians out there. Drupal kicks some serious diy A*S*S*, so I was totally down.

So I started some hit or miss developing, and managed to write a podcast module for Drupal. Doing this, I was very impressed by the flexibility of Drupal. Anyway, my module is a combination of podcast feeds (itunes tags included), playlists and images, descriptions, ...

I implemented ZINA in my module, which is a very nice graphical interface to your MP3 collection, a personal jukebox, an MP3 streamer. Administrators can add, edit or delete playlists and the visitor to your site can have a session playlist. For more information on ZINA: www.pancake.org/zina/index.htm

It was a hell of a task to implement zina, so my code sucks.

I set up this site for you to experiment with the podcast module.
Feel free to login as <b>john doe</b> and password: <b>podcast</b>. I restricted the file uploads to 1 megabyte.

Take care,

punkass
