safecracker4hire,

Thanks for the hard work on that. I am trying to test it but my newsletter doesn't seem to be emailing. Do you know where I can check for problems?

The sire can send group notifications and invitation to the site but just not newsletters.

Beatle

Are you getting any kind of error messages? What exactly happens when you try to send newsletters? Does your newsletter send prior to making the modifications?

safecracker4hire,

A little background:
I have 2 sites with the same ISP.
Site1 - my personal site runs DragonFly on a Linux box with no problems.
Site2 - a fishing club site runs DragonFly on a windows box, this has some p[roblems with the cache directory.

What happened was that I set the CMS to use phpmailer but this didn't work for the newsletter, so I opted for the smtp option, everytime I tried so save the setting it reverted back to no. I deleted some files in the cache directory and reset smtp to yes and now it works.

Thanks for all you assistance, you're a star.

Beatle.

safecracker4hire,

we have a little problem. the modifications made always sends out the first username in the database that is subscribed to newsletters, this being my siteadmin. It doesn't send out the username associated with the email address.

is there also a way of getting the name field into this mod?
