It clearly says on the front that phpBB 2.0.8 is in dragonfly, but it is not because it is no longer compatable. Do you think it would be useful to mention that on the index, or edit it?

honestly i think that this seems to be very unorganized for such a big and very cool project. the developers seem to do a very good job at what they do but there is no one to tell everyone what is going on, someone to tell us what the new features are supposed to be. someone that has the same mindset of the developers and know what could be added and not. or at least someone/people for the coders to talk to and say what will be added and not and what will be changed or added and thingies as such
i dunno. it's like being in the dark at all times and waiting for the next light. i'm not a fan of that. it's always like that.
i just think the site could be much more organized. there are so many people here that i bet people would JUMP opertunity to help. documentors, developer, PR/Marketing on the site.

Well, our project manager has been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. But we have plans to get everything updated and out there for those that need it.

well you guys should really have an assistant project manager so that if anything breaks down it still keeps working. they work together and there is the lead that actually talks to the developers and the other that gets information second hand. when one goes down the other becomes acting until the other comes back.
and i hope they get out safe from Katrina's aftermath

I agree, someone who is very active in dragonflycms.orgs forums should do something about this. Katrinia is so annoying. It has affected a total of 2 people that i indirectly know so far...

i thought kristin was project manager though i've been out of the staff for a while. at least tell me that someone is project manager and things are getting done.

Sorry, but thats the best laugh I have had in a long time. Some people have been trying, and some aren't. There's still no calendar, downloads pro is still beta, 9.1 is still delayed, the wiki is still stagnant ... need I go on?

I have noticed all of these things, perhaps we need to actually organize things? From my view I am seeing alot of Dragonfly sites open meant to create addons, modules and themes and very few manage to keep up any momentum. I think it would be better to try to organize work here, get some Groups together with people willing and interested with working on particular areas of Dragonfly (themes, CPGBB, Bugfixes and core modules and so forth).
At times we might need to accept that not everything we want is gonna come from the Devs, look at the excellent CPGNuCalendar that Khenn has released which seems to meet everyones needs.
I am sure that people here could come together to finish a working version of Downloads PRO, get the Wiki working and possibly even do something about the bolt-on Coppermine.

the last month has seen the most development and additions in the wiki since it was added to the site...
i update the changelog every single time something other than language additions come in...
i don't want people to read this thread and think that no one is doing anything in the wiki at all...
but i think NEMINI's point is still solid -- we have lotsa smart folks out there who could really help shore the wiki up quite a bit...
