1) dunno why it not in the core. 2)It doesn't add the queries, all i did replace 1 queries. 3) it didn't slow the site.

didnt think it would be too difficult, and the reason i put this here was to suggest that it got added to the core so that we didnt have to hack the code for this each time we updated the files.

I always prefer adding things as selectable features rather then code hacking the core. In the end, it will help maintain a nice solid program rather then hundreds of little hacked up sites.

Yeah, me too, but this would be a simple addition that wouldn't slow down a site, doesn't bloat the software and is useful.
