I second this, I've already asked before and it's just getting ridiculous now.
The includes folder takes ages to load in FTP, because there's so many - can I delete the flood files safely?

Very nice. This means module devs should use bgcolor and textcolor more instead of hardcoding stuff.

- IPv6 support now available in CVS and shouldn't produce previous errors anymore.
- Fixed the flood protection
- New security tables layout for easier understanding

Today, just before this site went into maintenance, I tested an upgrade from a working 9.0.6.1 install to 9.1.0.5 on our Lycos Paid Shared Hosting website. I experienced the following.
1) Selecting another language results in reloading to english.
2) The installer halts (time-out/ loop?) after step 2 after submitting database-info.
3) issues with word_text.
ad2)
When I deleted the newly created config.php the installer would start from the beginning. But if I left it there the installer would crash. Firefox says "done" while IE tells me that there's a problem with the server: can't be reached or problem with dns.
I think current_version never got set, because the following change of code in installer.php got the installer going.
PHP:
#if (file_exists($config_file)) { $current_version = '9.0.6.1';#check_inst($go < 3); #}
I had read somehere that file_exists() doesn't work well on some hosts, so perhaps that's the issue here.
But then I got these errors also:
Code:
On /install.php
While executing query "ALTER TABLE nuke_bbsearch_wordlist CHANGE word_text word_text VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL DEFAULT ''"
the following error occured: Duplicate entry 'oke' for key 1
And:
Code:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /data/members/paid/h/a/haagsetoren.nl/htdocs/www/install.php:1) in /data/members/paid/h/a/haagsetoren.nl/htdocs/www/includes/cmsinit.inc on line 57
Any suggestions?

Last piece of code is unreadable so here is another try:
Quote:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at .../htdocs/www/install.php:1) in /.../htdocs/www/includes/cmsinit.inc on line 57

Sorry for the multiple posting (bad planning, eh)
Forget to mention that it took multiple tries before the config.php would appear. So on my host there is an issue with creating it, too.

We had the same issue on our website but we still didn't figure out why that table was "VARCHAR BINARY" or "VARBINARY"
I've fixed it by dumping all data and reinserting it and ignoring duplicate entries.
The issue i've found is that MySQL has an huge issue with BINARY data and the UNIQUE index.
Cos after i fixed that table and upgraded this website we are still recieving SQL errors on the security_flood table which uses BINARY data.
Code:
INSERT INTO cms_security_flood VALUES ('DŽù ', '1137192447', '0')"
the following error occured: Duplicate entry 'DŽù' for key 1
As you can see the index doesn't handle the binary char after the ù
If this happens in all MySQL versions i will rapidly build a workaround cos after reading a bugreport bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=14131 it seems MySQL strips spaces although the SQL ISO says it shouldn't
