Post subject: Upgrading from phpnuke 7.8 to Dragonfly 9.0.6.1

I followed the install/upgrade instructions and everything went great. I watched the installer run all the Queries, modify the db, etc.

However, now when I go to the admin.php and try to login with my superuser un/pw, I get access denied. I am 100% positive that I am using the correct un/pw.

Any ideas?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I tried your link. No Dragonfly site.

Running a PHPNuke theme (or any other non-Dragonfly stuff) might be the problem.

I'll try chaning the theme, that could be it. It was an autotheme using at lite .87

Bummer, same result.

Process:

Export Data from existing nuke DB.
Create clean MySQL db.
Import data into clean MySQL db
Copy all .html files from existing site to test site
Edit config.php to point at test db
Open website, disabled all modules
Changed default theme to DeepBLue
Copy all Dragonfly files to test site
Edit config.php to point at correct db and table headers (nuke)
Run installer, everything goes fine until I try and login to admin.php.
Get error message: Access Denied.

Sometimes old nuke files being left there can create problems. What if you delete all files, then upload the DF files? Also I assume you are CHMODing the necessary directories, otherwise the installer should squawk about it.

I'll give that a shot.

Yes, well, as much as you can CHMOD anything in IIS =/

Well, it is working, but I've lost a ton of Dragonfly features. Is that normal?

I don't have anything like Who Is Online and all the features that make Dragonfly so appealing.

I think I've uncovered a bug/residual damage from the conversion process. No modules are being displayed on the right side.

Any ideas out there?

Thanks in Advance!

Interesting, this doesn't seem to have anything to do with the upgrade process.

Just as a test, I built a completely fresh site over at www.viciousentropy.com and I am not seeing right side blocks there either.

Does anyone know of any conflicts between version of OS/PHP/IIS/Dragonfly?

No, that's by design, it needs to be turned on in the module dragonflycms.org/Wiki/id=62.html
