Not you - there is an issue with the sql server which we are waiting to be remedied, so it's running a high load all the time and goes down intermittently.

I had this problem on my site for the best part of a year now.
Using our slow query log we made a few changes and it's definitely helped things but it really doesn't seem that Dragonfly is as stable as it could be once you start using it on busy sites with large databases.
Having 500+ members on at any one time with and shared hosting was obviously our problem but this site never seems to be that busy.

How does one get a 'Slow Query Log'? Which queries did you change?

I have to say that our experience mirrors that of r083r7. Despite lots of useful advice on MySQL tweaking, we only really managed to solve our problems by getting bigger and faster servers.

I should re-affirm that I believe the slow query times and server outages are not directly related to DragonflyCMS.
We simply do not have the load that BadCO and r083r7 have on their servers. I believe our issue relates directly to the MySQL upgrade (from 4 to 5.0.21) carried out on this server a few weeks ago. Until we can get hold of DJ it isn't going to go away.

Is there anything we can do?
I have some spare "room" on my hosting account, I only use 20 percent of it... Let me know.

This is a quote form WebHostingTalk today.
"I have a few friends who run companies in Fortress ITX right now and they're having one hell of a time trying to keep their clients satisfied with the downtime and issues"
If I'm right in thinking that is where your server is, then maybe the problems aren't just to do with the mysql.

It is with DedicatedNow (same thing) as is another server I have, and there are some customer issues with outages but its not universal. We have someone following up with their support people now.
Part of the trouble is "you get what you pay for"

Hi All,
Please help us troubleshoot this site, we need to monitor the uptime of the site to help determine the problem. There is a free monitoring service, but only if everyone clicks through and it becomes "popular'. This will let us monitor the site over several days to see whats up.
Please goto:
toolbar.netcraft.com/s...flycms.org
Next:
Click on the "Uptime graph" in the upper right"
With enough of us doing this we should get a graph in a couple of days.
Thanks, Webdev1
