The restructured style application is a necessary evolution and has minimal impact. This had to happen since IE7 is significantly improved on IE6.

It also provides a methodology for people to compensate for other browsers in a simple way.

I have worked through most of those - problem is they are largely static menus, rather than dynamic.

There is also a server-based solution but that may not practical for most, though as a last resort, it may be necessary to alter htaccess.

Still, I keep looking and experimenting Smile

Hi Phoenix,
The cmsimple thing did work for me in IE6.
No flickering!!
Did you also look at this one?
www.cssplay.co.uk/menu...tical.html
I could access this with IE6 without problems.
I am trying to find out the differences with the DF solution.
Greetings Harbrum

Yes, of course they work - tried them all - just haven't been able to apply that to the cssmenu.

In the interim, you can always recode the theme to bypass cssmenu for IE6.

You can also change browser settings to reduce it, but that is not a practical fix.

Like I said, tried them all.

Hi Phoenix,
I didn't mean to irritate you, sorry if I did.
I am just sincerely trying to find out what we can change in the cssmenu to make it work better.
Something must cause the flicker.
Because it should not be there I guess.
Because it is not there in all the other examples, like you have experienced yourself.

Like you I didn't find it yet. But it must be there.
I hope you stay with me.

Hi all, with many thanks to various posters here, i managed to upgrade our old theme to use the menu. Shocked

www.ausdcon.net/index.php

I was hoping someone could post a really simple guide to what all the css colors do, as i'm a complete css noob, but managed to get this far somehow. Big grin

Yes, I too was able to easily get the ph2_blue theme updated to use the css menu. Didn't take much work and it looks pretty smooth. Still trying to figure out a way to center the menu, but other than that I'm really liking this added feature to DF. Makes it a lot easier to update without taking up massive amounts of space.

You posted your solution here. Haven't had a chance to test it out though, yet.
