Check with 1and1. They tends to have problems. I had clients that used them before and had problems.

Also, I noticed that they still at MySQL 4.0.27. That might caused the problem too. DF 9.1.2.1 support MySQL 5.x + as far as I know (correct me if I am wrong).

MySQL 4.0, 4.1, 5.x are fully supported from 9.1.2.1

I've been using 1and1 since 2003, I doubt they are the problem. Plus the downloads module works fine with massive files (heading towards 1and1's php limit of 20MB) without issue. It's in the code, not the server.

What exactly is generating this error?

Error 500 is an internal server error, try turning on debugging IN COPPERMINE to see what it says when you generate this error.

Same problem here still. I can upload to forum attachments just fine, but gallery is crapping out on everything.

Error 500 - Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.

Where do I enable debugging? I'll gladly do it and be a test bed for a fix. I want this thing to work.

If you delete the .htaccess in the root dragonfly folder does it eliminate the 500 error? Let us know either way.

I do not recommend you leave the .htaccess removed, restore the file after this test.

Nano, you have PM Smile

I enabled debug and I'm getting output, but nothing for 500 error. It's just a blank page with what I quoted above (error 500 internal server error etc).

As stated before, forum attachments never fail, this is strictly the gallery.

-----

Right, yeah I wouldn't leave the .htaccess out for any amount of time. I just tried the test and it still gave me 500. Removal of root .htaccess did not help.

Also, /albums and all contained folders are 777 for testing.

ACIDRAIN thanks for the pm, from what i can see your site is hosted on a NFS (network file system) and sometimes permissions are overwritten by the NFS.

Try to tell your isp support about this error and see what happen.

New error, seems that a large image (1932x1050) can't be made into a thumbnail..?

Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.
