Post subject: Fresh install Smiley Error in DB

On a fresh install using mysql 4.1.2 I receive the following error. Any thoughts?

INSERT INTO cms_bbsmilies VALUES (DEFAULT, ':D', 'icon_biggrin.gif', 'Very Happy', DEFAULT)
Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

Please contact the CPG-Nuke Dev Team about the error
You cannot continue with the installation

The database has been properly installed, now let's setup some necessary information!

Look at the system requirements dear. If you intend to install 9.1.2.1 you need to have a MySQL 5.x and not 4.x.

That is totally incorrect!

DragonflyCMS supports MySQL4 and 5, otherwise 90% of our users wouldn't be operating.

I'm re-uploading now and will try on 5 to see if that may be an issue.

According to the requirements 4.x is fine 3.x however is another story.

not sure if this matters or now, but my installation path may not be standard:

www.domain.com/df/install.php

Still uploading should know more in a minute.

Of course it does - nothing like bad advice to waste your time.

I was pretty sure the change in server wouldn't effect the outcome but was hoping a difference in some server config setting might help...NOPE.

So I don't have to keep re-uploading is there a single file I can replace that will reset the install back to its defaults?

Is your MySQL running with STRICT_TRANS_TABLES?

If so, can you turn it off for the install?

[quoteThe bbsmilies error was a bug for new installs only or if the bbsmilies table was empty. However I've fix it in the current release (zip and 7z only) under the same name 9.1.2.1.

Tomorrow I'll update tarball archives and release a bug fixed version.

[edit]"The bbsmilies error was a bug for new installs only or if the bbsmilies table was empty" IF MySQL was running with STRICT_TRANS_TABLE[/edit] [/quote]

I tried the latest release (downloaded today) and am getting the error, at this time I'm unable to modify any of the SQL Server variables as its hosted through Godaddy, and secureserver.net. Unless someone knows a trick I don't.

I took a look in Mysqladmin, and found that SQL_Mode was not set to Strict_trans_tables, it was blank.

hmm, in that case, no idea, though godaddy hosting has presented some unique, innovative problems in recent months.
