Post subject: Cookie error

I have reached a number of problems running the latest DF.

I either get the error; Please enable cookies to post on this site. If you feel that you have reached this message in error please go back to the preceding page and post again, Or I get the database error if I do get passed login.

I know this isn't a php.ini error because I have other sites running on the same system, and this site in question in binded to local host.

The problem is this, After installing this portal, why 2 months down the road, I start getting the above errors, I have a number of other portals running on the same server that don't suffers from some kind of database degeneration.

I would have edited one of the above posts given the lack of a edit button, other then that the bug hunt continues.

I got my mail server working, and this is one of my findings, Could someone shed any light on this?

On /ukscifiphpsite/index.php
While executing query "DELETE FROM nuke_session WHERE host_addr='/' AND guest=1"

the following error occured: Illegal mix of collations (latin1_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '='

In: D:\www\ukscifiphpsite\includes\classes\cpg_member.php on line: 121

But no one have never removed "search" and FAQs URLs.

Sorry mate, But I have to say it.

This is no good, I'm not in the mood for chasing my own tail here, the original error has come back, cookies not enabled.

And before you say it; Please don't tell me to go check my php.ini, or browser settings, because i`ve been there and done that.

If you read the first post, you would have seen there is more to this then just the wrong iso tables.

I have reinstalled other dragonfly portals with hardly any issues, this site in question was working before.

This was not just an upgrade from old cpgnuke to dragonfly, NO, it was an upgrade for dragonfly 9.x that was already installed..

If you not going to take the time to help here, without telling me to use the search option or google, then please dont bother.

Did the FAQ helped you with the database error?

Nop, I think somehow the databases are messed up, and I'm best to start over, right now I'm trying to save what I can.

But if this problem comes up again then maybe I should try another portals.

if you read the FAQ it tells you to choose one of the two options.

If you don't want to touch the database then you should just modify config.php, also i need to say that you are not telling us what you are exactly doing.

If you help us then we can help you.

I spend alot of time fixing the databases by hand, in this case there is nothing in the config.php to change, however the settings in the FAQ, are the same in the databases.

Your not helping..

You haven't help me at all, all your doing is telling me to look at the FAQs, and I AM following them, but still this is not sorting anything out.

Your treating me like a noob here, geez.

I do not think an FAQ is going to fix my problem, and given the way your replying to me suggests that you don't understand what i'm saying.

PLEASE DONT bother to reply yourself, you have no idea how to
sort tech issues out, Please leave this to someone else.
