Has this robot been eating your bandwidth lately? It has hit one of my sites 5000 times in just a few days. I was wondering if others have added it to their Security Module for flood control.

My best advice is to ban it totally from your site - it consumes bandwidth with thousands of erroneous links and fills your error logs, hammering your apache server as well, all for nothing meaningful. It is an uncontrolled rogue bot.

Topic moved to 'Search Engines' forum - I apply that term very loosely to this pest.

Twiceler is on the Dragon Fly Bots lists, but is it banned by default?
Cuase the Robot's Security Option only shows a link to see a few details:

Quote:
User-Agent: Twiceler
Servers:
Info: http://cuill.com/robots.html
Details:

I have Turned ON the Robots Protection on the Security System !

I noticed that. I used the IP banning function of the Security Module and it stopped it in its tracks. I used Nano's ip addresses mentioned above. No more hits have been recorded since.

I had the same problem. I've tried to block with a .htaccess file and dragonfly security system... but nothing hapenned.

So, I write an email to crawler @ cuill.com and stopped it in two hours aproximately.

When I write the email, the list of the crawling ip's wasn't on the site. I think that the admin of the bot is doing a good job letting us the ip's.
