Alas, we are *still* running legacy 8.2b and perfectly happy with it for our specific purposes. Running a heavily modded default theme I *really* dont want to have to redesign... I am aware of upgrade procedure from 8.2b but too lazy / busy to try this.

We dont use forums so we renamed that directory years ago and prefer to receive email via gmail so we disabled the contact form so we dont have any problems with script kiddies and contact form spam.

I figured out a way to make our feed RSS2 compliant so news feeds give me all the content in the feed I want.

So here's the question: host is planning to upgrade PHP from 4.47 to PHP 5 soon - will /should 8.2b run on PHP5? I gues its wait and see either way, a potential yes or definite no will provide food for thought and planning.

Thx for any input!

Regarding your url: dragonflycms.org/Wiki/id=58.html#4l

Changed your subject line to address your question and moved your post to the appropriate forum.

8.2 is old code. Shocked

Change is good. Big grin

But I will let someone else answer your question.

Thank you for correcting your link.

After speaking with our developers this is our position on 8.2b.

You will "probably" be okay once they switch over to PHP5 but if your host switches to MySQL5 you will then have to make a choice.
You may want to set up a test site and make the upgrade.

The 8.2 version is not formally supported here anymore.

The reality is, even M$ eventually stopped their support of Win98.
