After setting up 9.2.1, I do all the initial setting up og my system, including creating a secondary "Super User". As soon as I log off admin, no matter what login I use, even the new superuser I created, I have "normal" access, no admin block, topmenu item, or anything. It has effectively locked me out of admin access as soon as I log out for the 1st time. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanx

Are you logging in at www.boundbyhonour.net/admin.php ?

Sounds like you have user and Admin accounts with the same ID and you're logging into the user side

Ok. I want to make sure I understand.

The admin area is not necessarily accessible through the website index.php??

If I want admin access I need to log in with admin.php instead?

I did try it and it worked fine, I was just used to using, say, phpBB for instance, where the user name and password denotes what access one has to the adminstration area. I like this system a bit better. I think it's a bit more secure this way.

Thank you very much for the prompt response. I can stop banging my head against the wall now Smile

Yes - you are correct. The IDs are completely seperate - Admin IDs are even stored in a seperate table. And if you want to make it even more secure, you can rename admin.php to something else (just make sure to change it in config.php also)
