<= My avatar says it all when you click on it Very Happy

I've implemented a small hack on this website to make your "Hot or Not" ranking photo being clickable for rating.

Since there's already the option to have your avatar remotely hosted, there was only a small hack needed to get your "hot or not" image be clickable to your ranking page as well.

Should I add this "oldschool" feature as default implementation?

yes i think its a good idea, perhaps you could let admins choose, make avatar clickable for rating, yes/no ...

or even better in the avatars administration, the admin can choose:

1)avatars are just am image
2)or the avatar links to your account page
3)avatar link is the website url the user filled out in his profile
4)avatars have a link to a remote site, which the user needs to fill out
5)avatar links to a (remote or not) module, like URL/{USER_NAME}

another idea: if you could add an option which if turned on shows avatar of news author on news mainpage in a block on the right, i think it would be cool too Wink

The more options end users have the better it is.

It must be secure and as an add-on would be my preference as some sites I only want code that is actually being used.

I likey Smile

Yes, but I agree with DF-Cookbook - Hot-or-Not is pretty specific - would be great to have customizable link

Neat hack. But as standard feature: No thanks. Thought stated goal was smaller core with easily applied add-ons?

This just seems too specific to be default, IMHO. At least it needs to be configurable.

What do you think?
