Ok folks want some fresh news on the games arcade pro

Here we go

I am currently looking into and working on some database integration that will place up to 10,000 games into the arcade

This also has local and global leader board which means you can play other people all over the globe.

I have contacted rickC to see if he has time to do this if not i will have to employ a programmer to do and sort the coding for me...

tim, We would like to help out on this on, can we set up a project board at dfaddons and open it up a little more on concept, on this and go into more elaborate discussions!

Hi there I am still beta testing the games to see what i CAN DO WITH em i have found they also work on the multimedia module to.

also found the stats will only work if loaded onto website server etc .. which is alot of server space for each df site so will probby host em this end for you guys to link within.

If you guys are ok with that I could make a start on it

ps for dragonfly it would also mean i would have to make a games install file for each one loads of work but be worth it

It sounds good Tim, however in all honesty, so many redundant games and cheesy ones, that if a priority list of the best games, most popular install files are written first and made into a batch import file...does that make sense.

Say the top 1000 games first and not sweat the other 9000, unless you have a script that automates writing 10, install files and if the adjust for df is just an add here or edit here, you hopefully have some program that will do them all automatically and are not thinking about manually doing them all!

Thanks for hosting them all, as I admit that is the biggest drawback on so many games, besides quality, is the space that take up, as not sure how the stats are going to work yet, is there a link to where it is working now, that we can check out, as it is like sorted to best players on sites, so you could have like domain matches, heheh like top scoring domain, etc.

Or are the stats for all the sites players...anyways, love to check it out and just see a little of how it works so can understand a little better.

Hi some of the games i have placed into a radio toolbar download and have a play here 1000games.OurToolbar.com/

I will be adding more games to the toolbar as i go on


Also i can create a facebook style toolbar with those games integrated as well

one of the things we could also possible do is use the facebook style toolbar on each df community site and interlink and communicate between df communities.. as i can make site owners moderators of the toolbar.

personally not sure what you mean by tool bar, please clarify!

Would this toolbar be client side or you mean each domain will have a toolbar widget that has the data...

As I am not into toolbars in my browser, especially at the moment with one monitor to use and not near as nice and big as I would like.

Not sure I understand how it is...

Master server RGW

Username and password to play arcade is unique only for the arcade and/or account at RGW or do we login on any domain we have an account on and can play with that username, as it has to be unique, so doubtful..

So a widget for sites with server stats, etc., with links is maybe what each site will need to have...

Hi yers i will place email together and post into forum how it works

please check my site and see the facebook style toolbar ..

The toolbars I use are community ones so you can add as many as you like but only one will show at a time i.e. you can switch and change them to your personal needs one at a time.. this way it dont take up browser space or desktop space when surfing the net..... also you can hide the toolbar

anyways will make a more indepth post later in the day on whats what

thanks Tim, no hurry, a friend who I will see this afternoon, they do something like this and use a engine to deliver it, forgot the name., so will ask him when I see him, as they play on a lan or intranet, and the software they use to connect and run it, may be the same, as this, not sure!

Hi there. I have installed this module and copied a pack of games.
Once i go to the module to play a game and i select a category (i.e. /index.php?name=ProArcade&do=viewCat&cat_id=1)
i got a "A database error has occurred. The webmaster has been notified of the error"

and this:

Sry for doubleposting but i got the solution...
In the line 172 of file /modules/Proarcade/includes/classes/arcadeusers.php it evaluates $tord == "Description".
I am using spanish language so $tord is "Descripción".

The solution is commenting the lines 172 and 174.
