Scetter started this module and it's practical finished it just needs a few more bits done to it..

Leader board

Add categories
Modifly categories

I already have this running on my site so its installable..

Here is what it can do gamers can chat in real time with each other and set challenges in the main game lobby.

gamers playing on the same game can chat in real time

Games has a choice of light box pop up window

Favourites
buddies
stats and challenges

I have loads of game packs probable leading up to 1,000 games so this could be a really great module for everyone...

It is really sad that scetter wasn't able to finish this arcade. Even though I cannot contribute due to technical inability, I'd like to thank you for trying to finish it yourself.

BTW: Wasn't the leaderboard already working in the latest beta?

This beta is a completly new beast and might i add a very good one..

in the module it does say whats not been completed and leader board is one of em...

i.e.
Buddies ( Not Done )
Challenges ( Not Done )
Favorites ( Not Done )
Game Categories ( Not Done )
Leader Board ( Not Done )


but if you remember the old games arcade had it own leader board so that could be placed into this arcade and other modules have a save to faves and the instent messenger has its own buddy's system

so the code is about it just needs someone to patch it all together ......

I just tested the add to favs and thats working ok now waiting for crew to have a play and i will test buddies :0) cheers Tim

It is looking fantastic Tim and I am more than interested to try it out as well (community is longing for a new arcade system). I alsways thought that redgery's leaderboard system was very sophisticated and motovating, too. So if it is possible to integrate into the new arcade, that would be awesome!

Any chance I could try out an installation, too ?

hi there yer sure you can try it out but remember the golden rule back everything up including yer butt lol

I have found a few bugs still with this within the challanges from one gamer to another...

I will place a full beta report and the download later today as at the moment i am in the middle of sorting out major promotion for our own offical lottery and live radio and outdoor video broadcasting.....

I am so glad someone has taken this over. I'm still using Scetter's first one on my site. I have over 600 games on it now and still adding. I also have About 390 games in my downloads with the ProArcade auto install files.
(I hope theres no changes in that or I'll have to redue them.)
Can't wait to get a new copy installed on my site.

All the code for leader board and other stuff is still in the beta that RGW has just need to make the links and template the sections. Haven't touched the code in quite some time so can't remember if the functions need to be changed much to template or not, but the functionality is still in the package.
If you went directly to the link exp. do=leaderboard or something like that you will probably see the old set up, can't remember.

I was redoing the layout of the arcade, all that was really being changed.

The new layout displays like so
output left side
output main
output right side

whatever dev decides to take this project over I will try to explain things if they have any questions, I would just have to look at the code again because I can't really remember how I had it set up

Again I am sorry I couldn't continue this project, I have been working full time as well being slammed with client development and web design projects,, I just don't have the time anymore.

In your arcade try going to the following url and see if the leader board displays

index.php?name=ProArcade&do=viewLeaders

If it does then you will just need to alter the function create the link and make the template.

same as the others
do=viewChallenges
do=viewBuddies
do=viewFavorites

categories might be
do=allCats

Like I said I think all the functions/code is still in the scripts

Sceeter has mentioned to me as soon as he has time he will take another look at it and help finish it off as there is not much more to do to it..

So am am very much like yourselfes waiting to hear... once done we can all work together on getting as many games sorted as possible..
