Everybody get up and tell us the story why and how you got to meet with the flying Dragonfly.
Specially would like to see developers to say where did the idea come and what motivated to accomplish it.
(Standing up. Hello, my name is Madis and I'm an addict... Draggict)
My story is simple. I was interested in making web pages, so somehow found Estonian PHP-Nuke support site and also in later time found a download of Dragonfly there. So, after seeing the benefits over PHP-Nuke I switched and got a fan of it.
(Sitting)
Tell us your story

As it says on my website, I was supporting 1 site I built on PHP-Nuke as I needed a CMS. It took so much of my time, keeping it from being attacked, I knew I had to find something more resilient if I was to ever support > 1 site. One day - 18-Apr-2004 - a DJ Maze posted a News item at php-nuke.org saying he was opening cpgnuke.com with a 90% saving in db I/O and security, and I registered same day, hence my low user_id, installed the software, upgraded and never looked back.
Got into Pro_News by downloading a beta of Pro_News. I like others thought it was buggy (turns out it wasn't, just it was built to run on a future CVS release), but I was 1 of a few to get it to run. Adopted it, built a client's site in it, then found out that Kuragari wasn't going forward to it. Choice: rebuild site (with a lot of explaining), or roll up sleeves and try to remember how to program again.

Got into online gaming in early '02, joined a clan then started a clan, needed a website, everyone used PHPNuke at the time, so I did. Heard it got hacked a lot, found CPGNuke, switched to that.
Got into coding because a friend of mine wanted me to port nukeleague to CPGNuke (I'm a Progress/MSSQL database programmer by trade), taught myself PHP/MySQL, decided nukeleague was a pile of cack so started from scratch and mComp v1.0 was born.
Written lots of modules since, free to begin with but several years, 1000's of hours, and 10's of 1000's of lines of code later decided to go commercial, sold 50+ modules in a year, but things drying up a bit now.

Looks like everyone's coming from phpNuke! :)_
I setup a phpNuke site on a home server for myself and friends to post pictures and have an online forum to chat and keep in touch. Kept getting hacked, kept adding layers of security and patches and kept getting slower and slower... looked at a few "packaged" versions of phpNuke and a couple other CMS's - when I found Dragonfly and saw Forums and a Photo Gallery already integrated and the emphasis on security - sold!
I was using a StarTrek theme on my phpNuke site so I went around looking for one for Dragonfly - stumbled upon WSGDesigns and asked if they would convert it. Worked back and forth with them a bit tweaking it to my liking and got hooked into "theming" and was adopted by them!
