Post subject: Teamspeak Module

I downloaded the TS module from here.

Changed the ip/address, udp and query in the config and in the teamspeakdisplay file

I keep getting an error
Code::
modules/Teamspeak/teamspeakdisplay.inc
Warning line 54: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to 202.125.37.130:51234 (Connection timed out)

From reading other posts it is a host problem blocking that port.
I have asked my host and they say it's open but it still doesn't work .

Any ideas as to any other problem it could be?

You teamspeak provider could be blocking the query port.

Where did you download the module from?

dragonflycms.org/Downloads/c=40/

If the TS Host was blocking TS wouldn't work. (TS is not same hosting as website)

Problem Solved.
Host had opened ports but part of the firewall was stopping it.

Thanks for the help anyway.

I haven't seen any TS3 scripts out that works well if at all. I've been working with some scripts that say they work, but so far no success. Here's a way to advertise it on a block at your site. Put this link in a custom block...

Code::
<a href="ts3server://com-central.net?port=9987">Click to connect to my server</a>

Make sure you put in your site url and port. The default port is 9987.

This was taken from the TeamSpeak site.

Post subject: Re: Teamspeak Module

I haven't looked at updating the block, since my guild stopped using TeamSpeak. Wasn't aware if the TS3 server query protocol changed, in which case, things could get to be a real PITA to update it.

I'd like to say I'll take a look at it, but the truth of the matter is that at the moment, I just don't have time. =(

I'd say the best way to proceed would probably not be to work on modifying the block I wrote, per-se (although it has a few unqiue features that you may want to port forward), but look at some of the TeamSpeak PHP libraries being worked on and go from there. There's an "official" PHP library for TS3 that might be a good place to start: forum.teamspeak.com/sh...hp?t=48162.

Then supposedly you can get the basics going by:

Code::
// connect via serverquery and get virtual server object
$ts3_VirtualServer = TeamSpeak3::factory("serverquery://voice.planetteamspeak.com:10011/?server_port=9987");

// display HTML viewer
$ts3_VirtualServer->getViewer(new TeamSpeak3_Viewer_Html());

But I haven't played around with any of this stuff. Don't know how well is works relative to the "old" way, or how hard or easy it'll be to work into a DF block/module form.

From what i understand TS3 is al new and nothing like ts2 which i would have to agree. Installing it on linux is a pain in the #$%. They sure did not have user friendly in mind when they made ts 3 on either end install or operation.

It's completely different than TS2.

DG is right on the ports...

Default is: 9987 for connect, 10011 for Query and 30033 for transferring files as well as uploading your own avatar.

I've installed servers on both Linux and Windows and one word of caution. When you get to the final install...COPY and PASTE all your access info including the access keys and admin password. At this time, there's no way to recover them as in TS2. You'll need all that info to assign permissions to others as well as yourself. If you fail to get the info, you'll have to start over again.

You're right Diz, it's not as user friendly as TS2, but the extra features are nice and the voice quality seems much better. Smile
