Post subject: Upgrade/conversion Issue Posted: Thu Dec 24, 2009 9:09 pm |

I've poured through a lot of posts over my exact issue but don't really see an answer. I'm upgrading a phpbb 2.0.23 site. I've tried using 9.2 and 9.1 and running the conversion utility. It runs and looks like it's done a lot but nothing is converted over. My users on Dragon fly disappear. Most of the posts I've read stopped as of about a year ago. Is the a solution? Thanks for your help

Are you "merging" phpBB with an already existing DragonflyCMS website?

I have a PHPBB 2.0.23 production site. I installed dragon fly 9.1.2 in another directory with no data other than what you get with a fresh install. I pointed the conversion utility at the 2.0.23 production database as a source and the dragonfly as the destination. I tried it with 9.1..2 also.

I'm not sure if there are multiple conversion programs but am usuning the one that says
"phpBB to Nuke Conversion Tool
written by Brady Owens (bowens@hcor.net)" in the readme file. It's a 16 k zip file reference as being able to convert PHPBB to Dragonfly. The files are phpbb_step1 .... step0

Try to use the tool found inside the topic just below this one.

Very similar result here. Used it on 9.2.1 against a phpbb2.0.23.
It didn't delete my users account on dragonfly this time but no data appears to have been converted either.
I installed 9.2.1 fresh and immediately ran the conversion tool phpbb_408
Here's what I got in the browser (very quickly I might add:

I never used this converter and I have no idea how to support it, you should ask the author.
I see a couple of wrong things that you are might doing. There are double underscores '__' in
phpbb__words instead of phpbb_words
and
cms__bbvote_results instead of cms_bbvote_results
obviously you using the wrong settings somewhere.

Evidently you can support it the prefixes didn-t need to include the under score. Thanks for your help. I'm sure I'll have more questions later
