I have a problem with the security image on the DF site that I serve out from a home server. When I load a page that contains the image, for example the Contact Us form, the image will not fully show. Only the background will show. When I refresh or reload the page maybe half of the numbers and letters will show. It takes about 3 or 4 page refreshes to get the security image to show. The GFXChecker here shows this message:

Quote:
The PNG image is correct.
Note: image was send in a compressed fileformat, maybe your browser can't handle those

I can find no errors or notices in the apache log file either.

Is there something that I need to do on the server that is interfering with this? I have root access to this server so I can change what I need to, but I don't know what to change. I can furnish more information but I don't know what to include here. My server specs are in my profile.

Thanks.

I opened you contact page in 5 tabs as fast as i could click and each one loaded perfectly. each page loaded in less then 3 seconds or faster and security image was intact each time.

I guess you caught it as a good time. For me, it opens correctly less than one-third of the time.

Thanks for checking.

I dont think it is a DF issue. its probably bandwidth. If you running the box from home on residential internet, that could be an issue. Most don't realize that when your isp says 15mb Connection the mean download your upload speed is usually between 512 kb if your lucky near 1mb. If your hosting server at you home you need a lot more upload speed. When i visit your site on the home box i am downloading and your uploading. Your upload = 1mb if good my dl is 20 mb a couple people get on there at same time or one of your update proggies kick in and your server will suffer for it. With a good router you can do port priority and bandwidth throttling. I'm not even trying to explain how. I get help from a friend for mine.
