Post subject: Admin Email Notification

Hi,
For some reason,i have not been receiving email notifications about activities on my site anymore.All was working well but now,i only see the list of users waiting for my approval in my admin panel in my dragonfly but not by email.Even my forumspro notification also does not come to me.I am always behind in responding to the forums.I have and did not alter anything in my email settings.
If any info is required to help with this,pls do not hesitate to let me know.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Try to use the contact module to send an email to your self.

If it doesn't work enable debug within the mail class and try again.

Strip any sensible data from the log and copy it here.

Sorry but i do not see any "from admin" email site settings,only the general email settings where we have these options
Quote::

Allow the use of HTML in email => Yes
Use SMTP server as opposed to PHP's mailer => No
SMTP host address (smtp.host.tld) => mail @ mydomain.com
Does server require SMTP authorization => No
SMTP username => My email username
SMTP password => My password
Is this what you mean?If it is,thats what i have the settings at, and they have always been like that,and it used to work.
Please i really need help.
Thanks Eastlane & Inspectorclueno

As the contact module works, then these settings are correct already.

However, I meant the Administrator Email e-mail in admin.php?op=settings&s=0
That is the e-mail that the notifications about registered users etc are sent to.

I cant receive any email when there is a new forum topic.
How can an admin be notified when there is a new forum topic?
I only get email notifications when there is a post on my post or on a post i previously posted to.
I hope i am making sense?

Thanks.

There is no such functionality in core forums, however ForumsPlus allows to watch every forum separately (the term forum here meaning category>forum).

You are using ForumsPro? ForumsPlus is just an extension to normal Forums, ForumsPro lays on a bit different arhitecture. ForumsPlus will not install on ForumsPro.

Maybe ForumsPro has a similar feature already that I don't know of?
