Has anyone tried to mod Tapatalk to work with the Forums or maybe a whole Dragonfly site?

http://www.tapatalk.com/

If there is interest I would consider trying to make this a module.

For those who don't want to click the link, Tapatalk formats a vBulletin, phpBB and a few other basic forum types into a format that can be used by iPhones and other mobile devices. Users still have to log in and such, but it really makes the forum look better on mobile devices.

Disappointing that this was posted 8 months ago and no replies Surprised

I've had requests for this to be installed on my forum too, but it doesn't seem compatible with Dragonfly Sad

Are there any plans to make them compatible?

Upon thinking about it I suspect the TapasTalk client shows a specific browser type and one could literally bypass the normal forum output to format for tapastalk instead. It might be easier to take the class that tapastalk provides and call it in the case of the client and just plug in the right variables, etc.

Hmmmm...

I'm looking at this now as I've had a request from a forum member.
It looks like a good tool.

They only have phpbb3 support, not phpbb2 which is what DF forums are based on I think.
There is an API that you can use to connect to any forum type, but I'm a bit lost with it at the moment. If I get anywhere with it, I'll post.

Well I ran out of time and patience, so I'm having to pay for this to be built.

I'm not sure how much it is going to cost me, but if it's substantial, I won't be releasing the code, sorry Sad
I'm expecting at LEAST a few hundred $$.

No need to apologise, that's perfectly understandable Smile Good luck with it, hope it doesn't cost you too much!

Dragonfly developer NanoCaiordo has graciously offered to help with this, as long as the code is released Open Source.

So yes, it's coming, but he has been very busy and has not been able to start yet. I will update on the progress later.
