No one of your reported warning or errors make me think about a db.php issue but the only change that could potentially cause this issue is dragonflycms.org/cvs/h...=9.43-9.42

Try using the last 9.x db.php with the above change reverted, let me know how it goes.

Hello to everybody. While extending the features of my web I tried to use second block of Pro News but my idea has failed.
As shown on printscreen picture, there is an optional sections list to be presented in block.

However the only option, that works is "All". Whatever section I choose individually, always All are displayed.
The best tool would be to have multiple choice in each block (like it is e.g. in Add New Block) but this one choice would be also good at present. But does not work.
Can anybody help me? (Sory for my "English" explanation) Embarassed
Thanks.

I'm not sure that I understand your problem fully.

But ... Admin > Pro_News > Blocks is the same as Add New Block (but it is done in Pro_News not Blocks so the content can be adjusted at run time).

So you still need to go to Admin > Blocks afterwards and enable/configure the new block (as you would after doing Add a New Block).

Thank you for your kind respond.
The problem is not to create the new block. I did it, and that is true, there are two ways how to do it.

But marking(selection) in the Section list(pull down menu) - to be displayed in the newly created block, this the issue. It does not work.

I want to display one option from the list only - e.g. "Technika" in the new independent block.
I make a slelection - blue line marked - and despite this selection, all Sections are contented and displayed in the new block in a default order like Pro News articles on front page. (Yes I know, the priority and sorting are optional, but this is not the solution.) [align=center]

Sorry, have been traveling and was in a rush when I replied before. I missed that you had selected Headlines as Center block (vs non-Headline display).

I have fixed a number of issues with Headline Blocks in the latest release related to selection and oder (the last update to selection and order of about a year ago did not get applied to Headlines as Block) and no-one encountered or reported it until I did stumbled on it about 3 weeks ago.

New version has cleared Beta and should get released soon. It will be on my site layingback.net first.

Actually, looking at the code, you are going to need the next (very latest, not-yet-released) release to fully fix your issue.

If you would like to beta test that release, please register at layingback.net, and I'll get a beta release ready for later this week.

It is not completely untested, I have it installed in 1 site (to pull latest article from a section normally displayed in oldest first order) but the Center Block will not go live until later this week.

If you don't want to beta, then it will probably be several weeks, as I will need a 2nd test from somewhere before I am comfortable with releasing it.

Only other features currently in 3.3.2.6 are secondary titles for Section and Categories, and an experimental Help facility (for Config panel only currently).

Post subject: Re: Pro News - Potential Fix

Rancher, I've built the special Beta release for you with hopefully the fix to your Headlines Center Block issue, as promised. ( I have it working now at 1 client site. )

But I can't give you access to the Beta release until after you register at layingback.net ...

Pro_News 3.3.2.6 BETA also includes Admin Help at the individual option level, which will hopefully help people understand more of the power of Pro_News. [ I use Pro_News for almost all aspects of content management in every DF website, no other modules required except for specialist ones like CPGNuCalendar, Treasury, Storez - all from Phoenix. ]

Pro_News 3.3.2.5 is also now generally released to all. And work is starting on 3.3.2.7 to improve (fix) the Calendar interface, and then I want to focus on more specialised templates, like Maps: Google and/or DFMaps, Classified Ads, etc, to add to the current Blog, Featured Content Sliders, Gallery image, FundRaising/KickStart and PDFPageFlip ones.

Rancher,

Did the new beta version (3.3.2.6) fix your problem with Center Headline Block issue? I know it fixed an issue, just not sure if it fixed yours ...

Will release code for all if it works for you.
