Rinse and repeat...
Ballerz, you need to select the Forums from the admin menu, choose "Management" from this line
User: Ban Control | Management | Permissions | Ranks
Look up the user you want to manage.
In the bottom section under "Special Admin-only Fields" select the "Special Title" you setup in the rank creation area that you .jpg file shows.

Go into the "Modules" section of the Administration menu. Find the "Downloads" module and edit it to allow only registered users...

G'day,
Either I'm missing something, or administration of group users is a real pain to do.
I know how to create a group. I know how to change group permissions etc.
I can see who is in a group via Forums... Group Permissions Control... Look up Group.
I can see which groups a user is a member of via Forums... User Permissions... Look up User.
But it seems to me that the only way to add a user to a group, is to go into Members... Groups... "Groups Administration" and say the user is the group moderator, but not delete the existing moderator. Is this correct?
That is, one group and user at a time. That makes it very tedious to add a user to a number of groups.
Surely there is somewhere where I can look at a user, see the groups the user is in and not in and selectively change those settings?
If there isn't anywhere to do this, can I please request that this functionality be made a top priority addition to any future release. Or is it available as an add-on somewhere already?
Best Regards, Lloyd.

I hate repeating myself especially in the same thread, and it's sticky
Its low priority atm.
9.0 needs to get out the door first before this gets rewritten. I tried to make a priority sooner but it was not accepted by the dev's at that time.
Patience...it will get better or a new module will be out to replace it in due time.

I'm having a problem with Groups myself. I read the above post and it was very helpful in creating and adding users to a group.
My goal was to create a forum that was only available to members of a particular group. I created a group and created the forum. I have myself set as moderator of the group and added a test user to the group.
I go to the forums, and this is where my problem occurs, in both Group Perms and User Perms, the only option I can change is Moderator/Non-Moderator. View, Read, Post, Reply, etc. all have columns but the boxes under them are all blank.
If I go and open the individual forum permissions, I have options below View, Read, Post, Reply, etc. but only to set them to All, Reg, Private, Mod, Admin. Nothing about groups.
Any ideas on how I can fix this or is it working as intended?
Thanks!

Maybe you are missing something as I did.
I read Jeruvys post again and again, and I still miss the point where it says: select user - select group - hit submit.
I changed the original forum theme to an other one from a phpBB-theme site, this was my fault
After hours of searching, we copied these files
• groupcp_info_body.tpl
• groupcp_pending_info.tpl
• groupcp_user_body.tpl
from the original theme folder into the new one and it worked!
