I have been trying to contact Chris through e-mail and contact-forms on his "former" websites, but to no avail. No answers at all. I think we can all forget about this... unfortunately...

You had any success in contacting him? His work on the Your_Account module was tremendeous and could have been a benefit to alot of us...

I know, but i was to busy with several things and there was the rewrite of CPG-Nuke -> Dragonfly at that time which also included the Your_Account.
So i friendly said i will look into it after 9.0 was released.
However after that time i forgot and haven't contacted him anymore.
Will try to find the emails ask him

Seriously though, you guys have SO much on your plate it's no wonder it slipped your mind! Hopefully you will be able to find a way to contact him though.
If not, let us know, I *might* be able to find him if the contacts you had have dried up.

the user guest book has to be the lamest one there.
buddy manager is good though. The quiecomm based shoutblock would do the guest book job nicely i reccon. Putting in a guest book would be a trivial matter of copying and pasting and changing the name of a few db tables, -hardly anything that deserves to take presidence over something kewl or new.
Second most helpfull would be bookmarks system.
I think buddylist and bookmarks are the two most important, and all the rest are either way too easy, or just plain strange (user polls?).
