Post subject: Streamlining CPG for CPGNUKE

Hmm, am I the only one who hates the look of the coppermine admin?

It has links and buttons. I prefer links. The link labels are vague and not very clear (english anyways).

Album List, should read 'Show All Albums'

My Gallery should read 'Show My Album'

My Profile shouldn't even be here, its in the your account area, and there is no return, so this link dead ends the user. No easy way back (click on back button Very happy

Upload picture seems fine, but it's not clear. There should be two one for the site and one for my album.

But wait, the site album...hmm how do you upload pictures to this? Must be done via batch but I don't need to batch upload, or do I?

The Title. Not very inspiring, needs some pizzaz. Besides I'd rather have my personal picture album header in this spot something other than a simple header text.

Then there are the buttons which 2 of the 3 seem redundant with the links? I don't understand this.

The biggest caveat of all is:

It is not modular so it cannot be removed like other modules.

This is big in my mind, otherwise cpgnuke is really nothing more than a picture gallery wrapped in nuke with forums.

All modules, even phpbb and coppermine need to be able to be removed if the desire is there, currently this is a job and a half.

I subscribe to most of Jeruvy's concerns. Smile it's really difficult to place yourself in the shoes of a fresh-cpgnuker/site visitor.

cheers.
