E-CARD SENDER heaps of functions needs your loving touch

Hi everyone

Ok i have this e-card sender with crap loads of brill functions the auther aint doing any more with it for like years and has just vanished off the planet.


I have added the modual here as download url its 3 megs in size www.radiogetswild.com/eCards.zip

If you choose to intergrate this into coppermine it can become an extremly powerfull promotion tool for all.

Here is a list of what it can do You could either A keep it as a stand alone or B try a coppermine intergration ... I personally would love to see a coppermine intergration as it would blow the socks of anything else out there...

1 You can create a card send it now and person would not recive it untill you want them to ie do everyones birthdays in one go and they recive it on there birthday.

2. it has a ? besides background wallpapers and a small window pops up with a display of the backgrounds to choose and you can add more if you want.

3. You can add a stamp to the card that has your URL link >>and you can make your own stamps and add them. & and has pop up window display of stamps to choose from.

4 Colour background for the card itself a ? is there for a window pop up and a colour chart is shown.

5. it gives you a choice of midi music to add to the card ( i would like to see mp3's used if possbile) placing a win-media player embeded into the card.

6. You can send to 5 or 10 people the same card ( nice one for site promotion) better still if you could send the card to all your members ie wishing them all a merry christmas or offering them the latest promotion on your site.

7. It has a choice of fonts type and size

8. You can make your own catorgarys of pictures and upload as many as you want. It also shows the pictures as thumbnails images.

9. 3 choices for card lay out

10. more ideas you could import your own e-mail data base and have them in a list so you can send 1 card to a certain group of people i.e. for me it would be unsigned artists or record labels or bands

PROBLEMS I HAVE FOUND WITH IT
The date sender ie for sending card in 2 months time aint working..right

When you have created a card and preview it and say it dont look right and you want to go back to edit it. When going back to edit it all infomation on the card is lost.

lol holy cow it has. well i would be willing to do it if i could. i think something like this is still a bit beyond my reach. i would like to see anything to do with dragonfly receive more functionality and it sounds like this would do the trick for ecards.

i think it was still cpgnuke a year ago. all the new templating methods will make integrating it easier but it's still a huge task to integrate something like that. since myself and tehbooster are working on the cpgpro template it would make sense if we were the guys to do it. unfortunately i dont think either of us are good enough to take it on.

yer i agree i am not a code writer myself but this proggy when i last had it working was outstanding as it was a form of build your own template type card..

With the right functions added on this e-card sender could be an extreamly power tool for promotion ie for all types of stuff notices , events, chrimbo card to all members or certain groups to new product promotion , and if you can add your own address lists a wicked way of pulling more to you site ect.......

just imagine that with the new blogging module ians is working on. mmm sweeet. stuff like this are really huge stepping stones in building a massive community site. hopefully someone with enough pure php experience will come along.

just to clarify how is this different from the newletter? the newsletter can send things with HTML and pictures in it right?

i know what an E-Card is, but i don't see the fuss really. wel, not yet at least

oh, and i would have the ability to integrate on it's own and coppermine. i do not like coppermine and plan on buildint my own gallery

At present its a stand alone proggy that use to work in phpnuke i will place the zip file here for you to download and check out ... the difference from the news pro and this is heaps and will probby give news pro crap loads of code and extra ideas for adding to.. this card sender u could add in your own stamps that where url linked and it actted like a gallery as well .. i will try finding some old screenshots and the file in my next posting ... let me go have a dig

Hi i finally refound the zip file and reuploaded it for those that know how to have a look at this please do cheak the first posting i made on this this would be a great promotion tool for dragonfly and many other peeps.....

as far as i know i tried tracing but this was made like 4 years ago and it just stopped dead as far as i know and have tried to find person but no luck orginally it was a nuky puky module and nothing was ever done any futher then you see.. i did have some ideas on new features see first posting on top of page hope you take this on it was a wicked card sender if you need graphics just ask please i will help in anyway i can

Red i found some old screenshots of that the e-card sender looks like.

ecard1 is a screenshot of a choosen gallery for this e-cardsender

ecard2 is a screenshot of where you are sending it ie control panel.. please not the ? pops upa window where you get to choose a font background colour and stamp ect

i hope this helps... to add a catugary i simply had to create a foulder of pics and upload it . the name of the foulder was the name of the cat.

Placing your names with the coding is not a problem at all it would have stayed with the coding at all times regardless we are all very carefull and abid by copywrite owners wishes.

I will place this in the dragon fly forum for Red Gerry to read as he has requested the download and is now looking at code.. i have in prepration made 2,000 plus TEXTURE BACKGROUNDS and 200 STAMPS in prep
