Well waiting for this module to be ported and enhanced by someone anyone would be a bonus it's been 4 years since my first post lol geees.....

ok here is an update on features this i would like and the possibilities on this module that would help a lot of people...


I did have a request in at bounty for e-cards but what with bounty down and the module programmer that had promised to have a go at what I was suggesting its been left on the burner.

I have permission for an old nuke e-card version 3.77 to be ported and upgraded. I have made graphics and placed together all the research for this to enhance it to an extremely powerful promotion tool of which can be totally universal for any subject and website...

Would you be interested in taking on this project...?

I can supply loads of graphics i.e. cards stamps texture backgrounds the whole works..

The way I wanted it to work from admin side is that admin can build an address database of groups i.e. for me say Radio Djs Rock... Artists looking for promotion of there latest album can order a promotion package and there album cover bio and 1-3 tracks of music could go out to 100- 1,000 radio stations that are looking for new artists to give radio airplay to... (The main idea behind the whole thing is to save Indie and unsigned artists heaps of money they spend on promotional CD’s sent out only for the radio stations to bin them, or there not interested, or good enough or there presentation is not up to standard.

As you can imagine this is just for radio, admin can make up any category or subject so it could be certain company’s who you are looking for advertising on your website to whatever...

Dragonfly may have lots of bells and whistles but I feel it sadly lacks tools for major promotion and marketing tools.

Due to the fact that i am talking about emailing cards out, the one thing springs to mind are people abusing it i.e. spamming. So some form of permissions with it would need to be in place to verify sender and receiver. So it got me thinking maybe a submission form on there so people who want that information fill out a form of which that user is then added to the sender database. There email address they would then have to verify. That may be a long winded way of building it up but it would help stop it being abused.

This project has heaps of potential and I feel is really needed for all dragonfly users..

If you think you would like to take this on I can send you the list of features I have placed together so far and the graphics I have made to give it a few different looks and possible ways it could work.

Ok here is an update 6 years i have wanted this module ported and finaly its now active on my site and in beta

we still have some bugs to fix but its coming along great, its going to be a very powerful promotion tool when all is finished..

we still have the bugs to get out when thats done i will send you link to go view

Still here is an update

Its almost nearly sorted yaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

and wait for it it's looking like the Mutz Nutz

Many thanks to Espen for coding and I am doing the graphics....

Its even got its own photo editor but don't take my word for it come onto the website and give it a test run..


Members can upload a card edit it and save it to their private folder of which from there they can either copy it delete it or edit it some more........

there is heaps more planned for this module of which is gonna make it one of DF most powerful promotion tools ever..


When released I will be placing through the course of the year ...cards / stamps and background packages... as well as card templates...

Tim, sounds great, you the man, soon as it is ready, will feature it on dfaddons and spotlight it, as it is addons like this, that are going to help bring back old and bring in new clients that are looking for a great cms that is not difficult to use and understand and bas the bells and whistles, that they desire.
