Not that I know of - you could try portedmods.com.

Have you considered using a custom field in Your Account?

the birthday that is based on PHPBB mod will not function in CPG. This is due to the changes made in Your Account.

The problem with the Custom field is that it will show a birthday but it won't be able to be used as a date, whichi is the benefit of the borthday mod. I would love to see something liek this added in. I've had it in the past but couldn't get ti to port over in 8.2

www.portedmods.com/mod...pe=url#get

Trust me. Everthing for the most part works fien on the forum side of things. It's in the user profile/admin part that you will have the problem. And just remember that this is changing again in 8.3 so the port will probably not work then.

I'm going to wait till 8.3 is realeased and then start work on porting a few mods over.

You can't have a forum without a good birthday mod. This should be built in with an option to disable.

I disagree. You can have a "Birthday's today" area that shows who's having a birthday. If your site doesn't have regular events then there is no need for a calendar.

Yes, and the last B-Day mod I used it gave you a list of everyone within a 7 day period. Very useful add on.

Post subject: Re: Birthday mod

yes i definatly want a birthday somewhere
when a user signs up they can type in their birthday in a field and when someone checks out their profile it'll say "so many days" until this member's birthday

and in a block show all of today's birthday (scrolling of course) where you can click the name to their profile...

hey i should create this?
LOL

but anyways, i checked out the ported mod, and also checked out the mods from off of phpbb.com and the mods won't work on cpgnuke (at least, as is) because the forums and includes are so way out of whack in other words, phpbb is so integrated it's not even funny...you can't hardly add your own mods to it without a lot of hassle...so until the forums becomes it's own module, or until someone creates the birthday mod (like me) it won't work for now....

***calendar should be another separate mod... ; )
(or you can simply add birthdays to the calendar and show them with the calendar's block) etc.... ; )

Okay I agree a birthday can be done without a calendar but IMO it is better with one.
