I just don't get it. Why can't users upload into any album?

Would it take a major amount of work to allow this.

i used to use Photopost and that allowed this. Is it possible to change coppermine to allow this, or is that just a load of work?

the problem with coppermine photo galleries is that the setting to let members upload to other galleries is that it is default switched to "OFF"

you need to go into EACH album and set the "allow members upload" to ON

you can go into phpmyadmin and go into the cpg_config table and find the 3 options on uploads, 2 are set to YES and the first one is NO

set that NO to YES (so that next time you create an album, members are allowed to upload into it as a selection)

(i don't have all my files here, so i couldn't be very detailed in which exact named tables)
but i will get back to ya tomorrow =)

do you know what i simply didn't think it would be possible and was becoming a little frustrated (albeit wrongly so seeing as they are free) at the galleries available for nuke... was even thinking of buying photopost or some such and tacking it onto the site, so your info is gratefully received.

Please take your time (really is no real rush at the moment) but if you can give me a little more info that would be great.
