Correct, that date is when we last modified the details for that specific download, not the actual file itself.

I've changed the description of the snapshots so it better clarifies when the snaps are packaged.

I wanted to upgrade my 9.0.1.1 installation to the latest snapshot, so I downloaded it and replaced my current public_html directory with it.

I fixed the permissions as with a new installation, moved my previous settings to the new config.php, and deleted install.php and the install directory.

When I access it in the browser, though, it tries to redirect to install.php. Why? It’s already installed, it doesn’t need to install again.

You don't actully "reinstall" it with install.php, it will upgrade you.
Go ahead and run the installer.

Ah, okay, thanks. Only problem now is that it says, “Your license has been edited. Please contact the Development Team at dragonflycms.com immediately. Thank You.”

Rolling Eyes

What’s up with this? I haven’t edited the license.

Nah, it wasn’t uploaded in the first place. It was un-tarred (tar -xvf) in place on my web server. I even did it again to be sure.

Forgot to update this problem: I downloaded a new snapshot and it worked fine. Maybe there was a problem with one of the nightlies.

is there a CVS Archive? Something to document all the work put into the CPG series? I wouldbe interested to see how it evolved from 8.2c to 9.0

I also know that at one space in time there was an 8.3 CVS and perhaps more. I think it would be a wonderfull way to document the history of the CPG series if any of the older CVS's remained anywhere in a backup form.

Sorry to post in an older topic, but its an idea about the CVS'

If I install Dragonfly 9.1.0.4 (CVS) which is the newest I believe, is it secure? and if I update it every so often all I would need to do is upload the new files from the CVS and run the update CVS installer?

I know this was asked in June but i'll answer anyway incase anyone else was wondering, you can view each version of the files if you look deeper in the CVS link I posted.

and Dave: should be secure, if any vulnerabilites are found they fix 'em pretty quick.
just run the installer when you download the files yes and it will guide you
