I did think about this issue and a lot of trial and errors to solve this issue which EVERY CMS has.
My current idea is to have a "visual delete" besides the suspension.
That way everything still works as normal but a module could decide to hide, show or delete content depending on a "delete marker".
Forums could hide profile, pm, email, www, etc. buttons for deleted accounts, and the "Your_Account" module just shows "Account Removed"

I think that's a great idea DJ.
If we are creating test users who have not interacted with ANYTHING on the site yet but register, is it relatively safe to just delete them from the users table in the database directly? Or are the other items that would need to be cleaned up.

Would someone please tell me Why it would be a disaster to delete a member?
Ive been asking some people about it and they cant understand why DF cant delete members.
Reason: In a couple of years the db file will be rather big and quite full of non active members.

I tried it. I deleted inactive Members manually in the database. There was no big effect, the only one I saw, was, that it was impossible do change or add MODs in the forums-module.
It was hard for me, ro repair this, changing the usergroup-numbers, making new groups etc.
