Araneae is definetally the best. It doesn't have utf-8 support also, but that is useful for me to see the real source. I did a little test...opening coppermine.php lanugage file took about 2 seconds wit UltraEdit, but 1 with Araneae.(Neither of applications ran before). It's also multilingual. I also suggest using beta version...I use both.

It's good I found this thread, cause i've been testing out several PHP editors and not sure what to use.
Some commercial ones:
- VS.PHP 2005 - for VS 2005 - I develop in ASP.NET as well so I was thining of integrating the VS.PHP plugin for it. Again, anyone experience with this?
- Zend Studio Enterprise - costs alot of money, but i'm considering getting it, is it any good? Anyone have experience with this?
- PHP Editor
---- Free ones
PHP Designer 2006 BETA - This looks really good so far , I haven't tested it interally, but I think I might stick with this one since it's free.
I don't mind spending a little bit of money to get a really good editor that does begunning, autocompletes, syntax, CVS, etc. Anything to make life easier i'll glady pay for. But the thing is of course, there are free programs that are equally as good if not better. Just wondering what everyone thinks and what editors they'd recommend out of the ones I mentioned, or any other I have yet to explore..?
