Post subject: Viewing Pending Members

I have 9.0 and I am using the cpgnuke theme.

Registration is set to activate through the users email.

My question. On 8.2b I could view a users profile if it was pending (waiting for them to verify it through their email)

Has this been removed, or am I not looking in the right area?

Administration Menu/ Members/ Waiting Users/

Only allows these options:

1.) approve 2.) deny 3.) resend 4.) modify

Clicking; "modify info" only allows me to change their email address, it does not allow me to see what they have entered in there profile.

Do I need to change it too approve by admin? And will doing this allow me to view the pending info.

Thanks for your help and/or suggestions.

Ok, I think this one got lost in the folds.

Even if I have new registration set to approve by admin I can not view the pending members information?

Am I not doing it correctly? See above post.

If I click "edit member" it says user does not exsist.

How can I "review" a pending members application?

Do I have to approve them first?

And if so this would cause alot of clutter since the option to delete is not avaliable any more.

Ahhh.. Came across this myself. Way back there was a request bout the time of 8.1 when add custom fields was inroduced. The question was to have the option of viewing all the field information during registration before admin approval. *This explanation geared towards my uses anyways* More or less having the option to view all the filled in fields that a registerer inputed upon registration. Was lead to believe that in future releases *then quoted 8.3* it would be worked upon. Is this an idea that is being worked on?.

Post subject: Re: Viewing Pending Members

I am sorry to be such a pest, on this.

When new people registered, I have to approve them before I can see their registration information, just to turn around and deny them.

This leaves behind such a mess.

People say, "Why did you approve me, then deny me?" Of course I had to do this too see their qualifications.

Is there something I can do, too view pending member registrations?

Wouldn't the option to "Approve By Admin" be useless without this ability?
We have the ability to add in required fields at the time of registration, yet as an admin we can not view these to see if the person is qualified for approval.

I guess my questions would be is this going to be fixed, added, does it have a priority in the 9.0?

Should I convert back to 8.2b?
I know that Djmaze said, "will look into adding it" So now I am thinking this may not be a priority or even done, in that case I would need to go back to 8.2b.

Its starting to become a problem for me, was just wondering if you have any suggestion to what I can do in the mean time? (If going back to 8.2b is not advised)

Thanks for your ideas and/help.

A short-term solution (though not a pretty one) is to view the db table.

Thank you for the suggestion PerM but this is not an option for me as I do not understand db mySql blah, blah, ...

The reason I hire someone to install my site for me. I am looking for a solution that doesn't require db.

Simple but effective. I guess I am going to have to open my registration up totally up (without admin approval) and allow anyone to join it. Then go back and deny them.
The only difference with this is, I dont have to explain why I approved then denied.
Which still screws up my stats. Oh well. Suppose I should have never upgraded. If it isn't broke, don't fix it, is what my uncle use to tell me.

Sad
