Correct, and if you don't enter the password you will be kicked by the server

Ah, but I wasn't kicked... that's my point... I forget who I was talking to, but I specifically asked them my visible username and they told me it was 'djmaze'. So the server DID let me change my nick to yours.... maybe just a bug?
