Hi Folks,

We now have complete fixes for the latest phpBB Attachmod exploits. Version 9.0 has already been patched, so this message is for 8.2b users only.

I've never installed the attach mod for my 8.2b sites. I do know there is attach mod code built in but not utilized unless you install the attach mod. My question is are my sites vulnerable to this or does it only apply to 8.2b sites that have the attach mod installed?

This only applies to sites with the attachmod installed

to patch 8.2b do you just upload and overwrite the files, or are those edits and the sql also necessary?

i would sit the patched version next to your original and compare them manually to be sure.
