Post subject: CPG-Nuke 8.2c Released

The CPG Dev Team would like to announce the immediate release of CPG-Nuke 8.2c, a maintenance release for 8.2b, addressing, several issues, including the phpBB search highlight issue, phpBB Attachmod exploits, and utf-8 issues. This is only a file upgrade, there is no need to run the installer, as there are no database changes.

All users of 8.2b are urged to upgrade immediately!

Just a thought -- should we not remove 8.2b for download due to the vulnerabilities that 8.2c takes care of?

not really tuta, 8.1 is still there. so leave it there for archive purposes. i do agree with you that it "could" be taken down. so either way is logical.

Do you really have to copy all files ? What about modifications to for example the forum module. I have a Quick Reply thing, like you guys, doesn't this mean I have to make all modifications again ?

Are there specific files to copy, or should I copy EVERYTHING, and redo all changes ???

It's always nice to have the previous versions so that we can see what changed on our own. That way we can run our own file compare programs on it so that our modded installations can be updated.

Nice update, just hope it doesn't slow down 9.0 too much Smile

Can I go straight from 8.2a to 8.2c or do I need to go to 8.2b first?

If you've done modifications to the files then I suggest you take the patched files. Compare them to your modded one. And work around them. If you know enough how to mod a file such as arcade mod or whatever then you should know enough to copy and paste updated code around your mods. Smile

Does 8.2c have the various other fixes like the news posting issue (due to cpg nuke theme), the poll module fixes, and various other fixed issues in the forum?

I love CPG Nuke and you have done a great job, it's the only portal software I will use and can't wait for 9.0 official of Dragonfly.

Just wanted to make sure my question doesn't sound like a complaint, just an inquiry (do I need to reapply the fixes with the new files from the bug forums on 8x that's all).

tks,

Since 8.2b and 8.2c are both file only upgrades and no database changes yes you should be able to go straight from A to C.

Please correct me if I'm wrong since I haven't used A in a very long time.
