It has always worked for me in 8.2 so I hope it works for you in 9.0.1.1 Razz

Make a copy of the map modules/coppermine and rename it. After you uploaded it to your server go to you database table "prefix"cpg.installs and add the install you just uploaded.... (insert value) id=2, name= way you renamed coppermine folder, other values remain you copy from install id=1....
Now the module will be visible in your modules list and you can add it to your module or main menu... Cool
I hope it works is dragonfly tooo..... Very Happy

I ntoced the laguage file are in a different map so perhaps you need to copy the file laguage/coppermine.php and rename it the same way as you named your 2nd gallery module....

cpg.inst will do, create an sql file then. ....... The table you named only has one line.(the insert to line) Change 1 into 2, change coppermine into your renamed folder and off you go. Replace the ; by a , and you upload the the sql file with just that single line. It's primitive but it works..... I would prefer inserting it by phpMyAdmin...... Open the databasr, brows table and choose insert, or past the mentioned line in the sql option Cool

one question about the 2nd install, after you do all that was listed above about the database how do you access the 2nd config, i have noticed that with the second install the admin screen added a new option to choose either install titled Photo Gallery Administration to do like cats and albums and such, and Photo Gallery Configuration but does not have anything in the pull down. would there be anything else to add to the database.

I am actually running 5 total installs of the coppermine gallery on one website now (though its taken a bit of tinkering to get it to work with 9.0.5). There are still some kinks I'm trying to iron out of it though. Mainly with stopping the slide show and viewing more than 25pics at a time in the "editpics.php" file (they generate odd errors).

Okay, the problem I am having is stumping me. I have three public galleries and one private gallery (plus the coppermine gallery which is not being used).

When I am in the "editing pictures" mode and switch to view more pictures than the default 25, or when I stop a slideshow, it always refreshes to album #3 (eMemorial). I cannot find any reason why it is doing this. If you want to check out two my galleries, they are ePets and eGallery. They will refresh to eMemorial when you stop the slideshow.

Any ideas?

Affter a long time i've tried instaling a second galery.
Ok i've created in cpg_installs another line, with id 2. Now i can see on my main cpg-nuke that ì've 2 galeries each with diferent names. But to my suprise is that you can see the same foto on both galleries. I supose that you need to install a 2nd database too.

Yeah, a second (or any additional) gallery will require their own tables in your database. I had it working perfectly, but something in the update a few versions ago really torked that. I've gone to menalto's gallery and have multiple galleries again (though v1.5 doesn't use an SQL database to that kinda sucks).

I have installed a second coppermine gallery and do ne the above and made new db called nuke_cpg_2_

Now when I goto the gallery all I get is

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'modules/coppermine2/include/load.inc' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /home/sites/my.site.com/public_html/modules/coppermine2/install.php on line 30

Any ideas why this happen?
I have checked that the file load.inc is there and it is.

Ah I figured it out it was because i had a previous install of an earlier version of coppermine in my db of which I was editing. Which of course was wrong.

Only problem now though is theres no admin options showing on the new gallery :/

This is a known problem with multiple installs of the coppermine gallery. That's why I've gone to Menalto's Gallery. I have numerous galleries, all running without any kind of issue at this point.

Thing is I want user gallerys on each gallery if you know what I mean.

like a stock gallery
art gallery
photography gallery etc etc...

With coppermine having multiple installs would allow this if it worked right.

Is this possible with menalto gallery?

Yeah, on my site I have multiple installs of the menalto gallery. Currently there are DF coders working on the Gallery2 port (which will house an sql database). The version of gallery that I have running is v1.5 and uses config and data files instead of an sql database.

The install takes a few minutes and you have to rename the .htaccess file in your modules directly to allow the setup/install to take place (but you can rename it back afterward and use the gallery normally and upload files to it with ease).

The galleries I have online on one of my sites currently is:

www.intothemind.com/gallery.html
www.intothemind.com/ememorial.html
www.intothemind.com/epets.html

You can call the gallery whatever you want, and admin is pretty straight forward.
